We seem to be consumed by our Photography Bug these days. This vacation, starting with our trip to Las Vegas, has turned in to a photography immersion for us. We are spending hours on the computer editing the shots that we are spending hours out in the “field” shooting. Hubby has caught the bug just about as bad as I have. (kinda handy when I want new gear . . . just get him out shooting and let him see that having that new lens really makes sense!) I set up our new little toy – the GoProHero2 – to take this shot of us editing side by side in our Resort condo. We’ve only watched a couple hours of television since we left home the beginning of November.
I kind of feel like a kid again, learning something new every day.
And I’m doing it with my Best Friend.

Wow! I can’t believe I have reached Day Three Hundred of this 365 Project! There have been days when I really didn’t think I could come up with something to post . . . another photo much less another blog post! Because I took on the task of not only doing a self portrait every day, but also doing a blog post about it ever day as well. I have fallen behind a few times . . . but I have not neglected the actual taking of a photo every day. It’s pretty incredible what I have learned through this process . . . one of which is Photography is most definitely where my passion lies. There has been a thread of Photography throughout my entire life . . . I just didn’t pursue it as I am able to now because of where life took me. I’m here now though, and so fortunate and blessed to be in a position to finally pursue my passion. In fact – in a few days I will be meeting up with fellow 365’ers in Las Vegas for a weekend of shooting and camaraderie over our shared mutual passion. Here I am perusing the 365 forums, amazed at the talent and friendships that we have formed even tho few of us have met in person. Vegas . . . here we come!

I took my 13 year old Grandson (who lives in MD) to the Santa Cruz Beach Boardwalk for the day. While he spent the day on the rides, I wandered around with my 20 month old Granddaughter. It’s so fascinating to see the excitement of the boardwalk through her eyes. She saw the mini-train and was so completely enthralled by it. She stood here on the bridge watching it for the longest time. Unfortunately, I couldn’t take her on it as I had her and the stroller and all our stuff to take care of. She didn’t seem to mind though, as she just soaked up the experience visually.
