“Water is life’s mater and matrix, mother and medium. There is no life without water.” Albert Szent-Gyorgyi
We were playing in the back yard before naptime. She is a water baby at heart . . . and loves playing in her water table. I took my socks off so they wouldn’t get wet as I cleaned it out and refilled it, then took her sandals off so they wouldn’t get wet. She immediately grabbed my socks and put them on! So much for not getting them wet – but what’s a Ya Ya to do, eh? I live for moments like this . . .

Play time at the Kristi Yamaguchi “Always Dream Park” in Fremont. I did some extra processing to this image. The original image was not blurred in the background. I used Topaz Plugins and Photoshop to do a detailed blur which took several hours as I had to mask out the chain on the swings. I’m pleased with the effect, as it put the emphasis on the Baby and me.

Today I took the little one to Blackhawk Plaza in Danville, CA. It’s an outdoor mall, with ducks roaming the ponds and streams at the center of the shops. We purchased Duck Feed at one of the local stores, and proceeded to spend the next couple of hours chasing and feeding them. Baby had such a great time chasing them . . . which of course meant she deserved an ice cream before we headed home. You’d think she had died and gone to heaven! Yum Yum!

I flew to California this morning to take care of my 18 month old Granddaughter while daughter is away for business. I was expecting warmer weather, but was quite surprised at how cool and windy it was! I kinda like how this turned out, especially since she it certainly in my spotlight this week!

Today was a quiet, hanging out kind of day. I’m busy trying to get our business financials ready for the accountant, so the baby has been quietly and busily playing at my feet as I work. I decided to take a break and play with her for awhile. Of course, my camera is always present and ready! This shot is the result of us just having some fun in the dining room, which has some great window light. I did process a bit in Lightroom and Photoshop. My reflection is in her catchlights.
Today is my last day here in SF Bay Area with my Granddaughter . . . I so cherish the moments I get to spend with all my Grandkids. They grow up so fast! Blink and the time has flown by! My eldest Granddaughter will graduate from High School next year . . . my goodness!! I am so blessed to be able to spend the time with the kids that I do . . . considering I live so far away from all of them (there are 10 – four in Maryland, one in Oregon, and five in California).
I shot this picture of 15 month old Ella and myself at lunch today. I used my iPad and processed it a bit with the new Photoshop Touch App that I downloaded yesterday. I’m anxious to see what I can do with it!

Spent the morning at the park with my youngest Granddaughter – 15 month old Ella. She’s a busy little girl! I was hoping to catch some good closeups of her but she was so happy to be out and running around . . . so I just followed her with the camera. Another gorgeous day here in the Bay Area, soaking up sunshine and Grandbabies!
