I’m not sure I can really say much more than what that quote states.
I do believe it’s a choice I make in every action, thought, interaction to be accountable for what I put out in the world. In turn that comes back to me ten fold in what I interpret as happiness. I find in my relationship with my husband that together we keep each other accountable and on track. We support each other through the times when it’s not so easy to keep a positive outlook. However, it’s not his job to “make” me happy.
I am responsible for the experience I create for myself.

I love this particular photo because, as the above quote states, a happy marriage has the tranquility of a lovely sunset. I feel like that is where we are in our relationship these days – tranquil and happy. Not to say that we don’t have a few issues crop up now and then, but we know it’s safe to work through the issues without worry that one of us is going to walk away.
I love the feeling of walking hand in hand, side by side, with my best friend – exploring, adventuring, loving, living and sharing.

The quote that I have chosen for today really resonates. I completely, totally and one hundred percent agree that happiness is a by-product of your daily choices and actions. In fact, I had to include a second quote to underscore the first quote . . . I’m a very happy person these days. So much of my life is in harmony with who I am deep inside. It has not always been so. I’ve been on a journey to harmony in my life, and have seen healing and happiness in the lives of those around me as a result. There was a time when I had division, discord, depression, unhappiness ruling my experience of life. I am so fortunate to be in a place now where I am happy, healthy, and able to share that with the people I love.
This photo was taken with my iPad as hubby, baby girl and I were out for a walk on a beautiful sunny Bay Area day. I took it with an App called HDR Pro that creates the HDR right when you are taking the shot. Thus it is a little fuzzy. That’s Ella’s curly mop on the lower right.
The little one was so happy to be out in the fresh air, walking, picking up sticks and playing with acorns that have fallen by buckets off the trees. It’s one of those afternoons where everything is right with the world. The birds are singing, the air is clean and crisp . . . and our only concern is keeping her from falling in the creek!

Bathtime is one of my favorite times with Baby Girl. She so loves the water, and is so joyous and happy when she’s in it. For this shot I used my Gorillapod and hung the camera from the shower door frame to get a perspective from above. I then processed it using PS CS6 filters to get this grainy effect. I had to be careful which photo I used, as I discovered that from this view . . . most of the shots were not appropriate for posting on the internet!
My Grandchildren are so very important to me . . . and I want them all to grow up knowing that they are loved completely by their Grandma/YaYa. That’s why I don’t just talk about it. My actions back up what I say. I don’t buy their affections, I give them my time and my love. I’m well aware that I am compensating for something I feel I lacked growing up. No matter, as it’s a win-win situation!
